Cadet’s sudden and tragic death in a car accident shocked the UK music scene and saw an outpouring of love for the rapper and his family.
Now Cadet’s cousin and fellow music star Krept has arranged a tribute show at London venue Brixton Academy featuring more than 20 of the UK music industry’s top artists and all the money from ticket sales is set to be donated to a cause in Cadet’s name.
Writing about the tribute show for Cadet on Twitter, Krept said, ‘Its official “The Rated Legend Show” @ brixton academy march 2nd on cadets birthday. We have officially comfirmed over 20 of some of our best uk’s artist to come and perform. Line up come like a festival. Every act is a surprise. Tickets will go live next week. Keep the date free’.
Krept previously stated, ‘Every penny will go towards whatever it is we feel is the best suggestion. Make this the best show ever. will do you proud cuz’.
In tweets earlier in the week, Krept revealed that the Cadet tribute show would likely cost around £20 per ticket and confirmed that the show would take place on Cadet’s 29th birthday, 2nd March 2019.
Krept also revealed that Cadet’s mum want to ‘build something in Cadet’s name so that he can always be remembered’, althogh she’s currently taking suggestions on what that could be.
It’s not been revealed which artists would be taking to the stage at the planned tribute show, but it’s guaranteed to be an emotional night whoever is involved.
