The rapper held a similar event – which barred any phones, cameras or bags – at New York’s Gramercy Theatre last night (April 16)

J. Cole has announced a surprise, last-minute event in London tonight (April 17) to promote his new upcoming new album – check out details below.

The North Carolina rapper is gearing up to release his fifth studio album ‘KOD’, which was announced only yesterday – the record itself will be out on Friday (April 20).

After putting on a surprise listening event and live show for ‘KOD’ at New York’s Gramercy Theatre last night – which saw the rapper airing the new album in full – J. Cole has hopped on a plane across the pond to put on a similar live event in London tonight.

Fans have been instructed to pick up free tickets from The Wash Houses in the capital (postcode E1 7NT), with tickets available on a first-come, first-served basis. The location for tonight’s event has yet to be confirmed, though doors will open at 7pm.

As with the Gramercy Theatre show, fans will not be permitted to take phones, cameras or bags into the show – with the premise being that the airing of ‘KOD’ will be an on-the-night experience which won’t spoil the album for the rest of his fans across the world.
