It’s that time of year again – Forbes have just released their list of The World’s Highest-Paid Musicians of 2016.

Topping the chart with a staggering $170 million pay-year is Taylor Swift, followed by ex-pop sensations One Direction who raked in $110 million collectively.

Drake, Rihanna, P Diddy, Beyonce and Jay Z all made it into the top 30, but the end results may surprise you.

The list is measured on pretax income from June 1, 2015 to June 1, 2016 before deducting management fees.

Rihanna’s impressive $75m comes from her live performances, plus commercial deals with Dior, Puma, Samsung and Stance.

While Beyonce benefitted from her ‘Formation World Tour’, although many of her dates missed out on the scoring period.

Interestingly, Drake’s huge Summer Sixteen tour started in July 2016, therefore none of his dates have been accounted for in the list.
