Rita Ora Lied About Being Offered Cheryl Cole's Song Says Calvin Harris
Calvin Harris has denied claims that Rita Ora was offered Cheryl Cole's new single.
Ora recently insisted that she was handed Cole's latest hit 'Call My Name' first, but turned it down because she doesn't "want to go down the dance route that a lot of other popstars are doing".
However, Harris has now stated that Ora was never offered the track and doesn't understand why the singer would be saying she was in interviews.
"For the record, Call my name was never given to Rita Ora to sing... she made that up, don't know why," the DJ tweeted.
"Read it on Wikipedia just then, its crazy how news stories become facts like that!"
Cole's latest single 'Call My Name' topped the UK chart last night (June 17) and became the fastest-selling UK single of 2012 so far.
Cole's third studio album A Million Lights is available to buy now.
